The Tipton Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency, providing services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  The dept is dispatched by the Moniteau County 911 Emergency Center and can be reached by calling 660.433.2620.  The police dept. is located in city hall, 101 E Moniteau St.

City Marshal Edward Wiecken was elected to serve as chief.  The department has 3 other full time officers and 3 reserves.
